A heritage property near Polo forest added altogether different dimension to our Polo forest trip. The royal family member personally greeted us on arrival and later took care of every aspect during our stay, The large rooms, with double height ,typically extra large bathrooms during those days , carefully prepared tasty food, a separate corner/sitting arrangement for bonfire and a lobby as seen in photo- all was nostalgic. We enjoyed everything far better than other modern day properties around or those tents erected on plain ground!what

Beautiful private palace of Pol / Vijaynagar state. It is used heritage hotel. Pol state was founded in 1577. Between 1864 and 1877 it was renamed Vijayanagar after its new capital. Vijaynagar State was ruled by Rajputs belonging to the Rathore dynasty.nAncient Shiva Temple, Jain temple & other heritage site in Polo Forest, is near this palace.

Beautiful villa, nice architecture, nice top view, well maintained. Sunset was beautiful from the top. Place was little crowded but that's okay.nThere was a coconut water wala near the ticket counter.nPreferred to take own vehicle because the villa gets closed by 6:30, it was dark outside and could not find any rikshaw. Coconut wala helped us to call one rickshaw which took double charge and it started raining as well.nTicket was ₹50 per person plus ₹50 for camera.
