The place is open now after COVID lockdown. Thousands of birds have arrived Mangalajodi. Boat charge is 1600 (4 people, small boat including guide). Open till evening 5:30 pm. Best time for boating is 3:30pm. You need to call the Ecotourism dept of Mangalajodi for earlier booking boat. The trip is usually 2 hrs boating. This place is just 75 kms from Bhubaneswar.nIf you plan to stay there, you can also stay in cottages that are really beautiful.

Yes no doubt!!!This place is a basic accommodation that is very efficiently run by the village. The food is also basic. But all this is compensated by the sincerity of the people working,the serene boat rides and the loads of birds that you see.nThe hosts are hardworking and hospitable and very happy when you give them a word of appreciation.nI would rate this place Five Star

A very impressive community venture that helps people appreciate nature around Chilika lake. The accomodations are basic but very clean. Food is simple yet very delicious. I had gone for birdwatching and bird photography. The guides and boatmen are very knowledgeable and helpful. I immensely enjoyed the roughly 10 hours of birdwatching. Mangalajodi is amazing for seeing waterbirds up close. I highly recommend them.

An excellent eco resort with full package of boating, food everything. The food specially is outstanding. Behaviour of people are very polite. They arranged boating trip with trained guides who are authority on migratory birds. Overall, it's an experience that nobody should miss
