Cultural Department of MP Govt. for the innovative expansion established this Tribal museum for promoting the knowledge regrading tribes, their cultures & aesthetics. It is situated on Shyamla hills in front of State Museum.
In this museum things such as traditions, art, culture, paintings, dwelling units, articles of daily use of the tribes of the Madhya Pradesh are displayed.
For the students, Scholars & Research student it is a great place where they can familiarize themselves with the rich culture's of MP Tribes.
Must visit place.....👍.
I love the Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum at Shyamla Hills, Bhopal. It showcased art, craft, culture, heritage and habitate of state tribal castes. It includes gond painting, wooden art, bambu art, block print, wall painting, clay art, bell metal art. Also artisans made various miniature models of living places of tribals by bambu, wood and gross. Here many culturel activities also takes place. I have attended live programs of Ustad Mohammad Husain and Ahmad Husain, Prahlad Singh Tipaniya and many more. Best place to visit who have intrest in art, culture and heritage.
This place is unique. I can spend hours at this place. Everything is very detailed. A complete culture you can see. I will definitely go again to this place if I get a chance. Photography was not allowed due to covid, so these are the only pictures I was able to click from outside. 😜
In lockdown its is closed.
One of the best museum of India where you can see all the Tribes of Madhya Pradesh . The museum has a particular focus on tribal art and how it relates to the culture. A musical instrument, for example, is also a part of an important ritual. A sculpture is also a tribute to a god or spiritual energy. For the tribes, everything is related to an invisible power and items are both practical and supernatural at the same time.
