Admitted my mother for a surgery during the covid pandemic period. My overall impression of this hospital is good... You will get bill from a canteen tea to surgery . So there is a clear understanding on what we are paying for. Most of the nurses are doing a good job. Esp. Nurses at post surgery ward are doing an excellent service. The hospital don't have a consulting fee, only for procedure and lab tests they are charging. Compare to some private clinics , fees are somewhat low. But remember its a private hospital and you need to have money for tests and medicine. The only drawback i notice is there is no locker facility for attender. If you are choosing a general ward you need to keep an eye on your luggage.

Have you ever seen a hospital bill without a doctor fees? You can see it for the covid treatment in velammal. No insurance will accept these bills. So velammal did their best for the insurance companies just opposite to their namesake objective “Customer Focus”. I have lost 1.5 lakhs because of it. Not able to digest it.nnI went in person around 5-6 times and ringed n number of times and sent so many emails to provide proper breakups but they didn’t provide me one till now and only thing i got is stress..nnPlease dont go to this hospital for covid treatment if you are a insurance customer.nnAnd if you want to know how a PRO should not be then we need to talk to Mr.Vinoth PRO of velammal hospital . He is the best example who will not suit the position of public relation officer. he doesn’t know how to speak polite to the customers ,wonder how he has been selected for this position .For this position people need to speak polite and even to say “no “ to something they need to tell it in a positive approach but he is just the opposite and he even doesn’t know the meaning for the word polite.nnMy simple request is to provide proper breakups for the bills they have given. Im not sure why they are refusing to provide one which is causing their customers to lose their hard earned money. It really hurts.

My Sister took Organophosphate poison and admitted in Velammal Hospital-Madurai 15 days back.nShe was very serious, management informed us it's very difficult to save her, but they promised us they will provide better treatment.nFinally they saved my Sister today. They are going to shift my sister from ICU ward to normal ward today.nnMy sincere and heart full thank to the Doctors and management who saved my Sister.nnI really appreciate and great full to Velammal Hospital-Madurai.
