Very well maintained facilities. We love the new spaced for the penguins outdoors. It's the first time in years I've seen them happy. They were swimming so fast and walking around outside of the water. It was the most active I've seen them too. Made such a difference in the quality of life for them. ud83dudc95
Excellent small zoo, perfect for a half day in the city
First zoo I have been to that the animals didn't seem stressed. They all seemed in very high spirits. It was a very enjoyable experience. My favorite was the grizzlies. They were very playful. I highly recommend this beautiful zoo.
Zoo closes at 5 and they put animals away at 4. If they kept opened later they would have had 20 more people pay for visit on a Saturday on labor day weekend.
A good zoo, particularly for younger kids. Because the zoo is relatively small so it's easy to get through the whole thing in an afternoon. Also has quite a few options for activities that can be done inside when it's cold out.
