White Tara Homestay

Very nice and comfortable homestay located at a distance of 700m from mall road. Primarily hot water was only available at the morning during 8-10 o'clock, after complaining to the booking authority they resolved the matter. Cable network was also not working during our stays though free wi fi is available. There are two types of room, the room with mountain view (pictures attached) don't have any attached bathroom, that's a big negative for person traveling with families. Also bathroom window is broken which needs to be fixed soon. As it is located a bit far from the main city centre and also there is no fooding offered from hotelier side, you have to arrange your own food. The caretaker boy was also very helpful and he can brought your food for some delivery charges. For teas you can request the caretaker boy. If you are traveling with elderly people in your group it is advised to take local taxi to reach this homestay as the road is very steep to climb. They will charge rs 100-150 from the chowrasta/mall road. For convenience it is located near the Prasar bharati and DIG office.

Cheap and good. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

Most people have misconceptions about what is homestay, it is someones home converted into a small hotel. Over here the rooms are too small considering it's cost. The rooms don't have toilets and bathrooms in them, the toilets and bathrooms are placed outside the room and both are joined and not clean. The people working here are polite but you have to pay in advance so you can't cancel the booking. I would not recommend a whole family of three or even more than three to stay here.
