Fantastic place to stay if you are looking for viewing scenic beauty of Himalayas from balcony of the homestay , homely foods, clean and well decorated rooms , listen to the solitude, prompt & timely service and the feel-good ambience of the place. The Owner Uncle and his family members are so caring and always happy to help. One will be feeling like at home while staying here. A must visit place in Darjeeling.

Honestly, I've had the best experience in Himshika Homestay. The place is great. Uncle, Aunty, and their son and daughter in law are are warm, lovely people. Took good care of us. The food was awesome, everything was just amazing.

The ambience and hospitality is superb as compared to other homestays or similar set ups. The food is cooked at home by Mrs. Sharma and the taste and quality will assure you that. If you manage to book a room with the terrace and kitchen, you would have an excellent view when you wake up or go to sleep and the kitchen has enough equipments to fund the whole experience of sipping hot Tea or Coffee. The place is right opposite to Raj Bhavan gate 3, so it is silent and secured and also very close the Kanchanjunga view point and in a walkable distance from the Mall or the Zoo on both sides.

If you want to spend your time in a quite qalm place then Himshikha homestay is ideal for you. It is opposite of Rajbhavan gate 3 and just beside of PWD office.We stayed in the room with kichen and terrace.breakfast was complimentary.But if you want,you can have lunch and dinner also.Rooms were neat and clean.Uncle and his family were warm and friendly.He also helped to park our car in safe place.Will definitely stay in Himshikha next time we visit Darjeeling.

It was our first time to Darjeeling and we haven't been to any homestay ever. From the internet I saw the photos of this place and immediately I contacted for booking. Uncle was so polite and helpful. The days we stayed there, we didn't ever feel that we are out of our home. The place is truly a home out of home. Aunty prepared meals which are delicious tasty and healthy as well. And the views from the balcony is just fantastic. You can pass your lazy time by just sitting on the balcony and looking to the city lights and hills. I must say, in reality, the place looks better than the images. The homely atmosphere, the heart warming reception and the food is just ud83dude0d. Being a novice bike rider, i had just a little glitch for parking and handling my bike in the steep roads leading to the homestay but after the first day it was piece of cake for me. To end with, I truly miss Uncle Aunty and the whole family there. I wish to visit again and would stay there again. ud83dude0a
