Wildflower Hall, An Oberoi Resort, Shimla

Excellent views, superb decor and out of the box courtesy by Oberoi. It's a once in a lifetime experience. A visit to this hotel will always be cherished.

Wildflower Hall was once the estate of Lord Kitchener of Khartoum, and is located about 13kms from the hill station of Shimla on top of a knoll overlooking a backdrop of high Himalaya and rolling foothills. A perfect mountain retreat.nnWildflower Hall is nestled at an altitude of 8250ft above sea level set in 23 acres of virgin woods of pine and cedar.

Terrace was lovely, staff was also nice. But they messed up the order a bit. Salad was arugula-watermelon. I got watermelon pieces decorated with 2 pieces of regular lettuce. I should've been informed at the time of ordering that arugula isn't available or at least been given other leaves. I did get a small bowl or regular lettuce leaves upon request. Also, they forgot when I asked for less sugar in my iced tea. They were nice enough to make me another one.

Bit too expensive but the best place or rather heaven in shimla is the wildflower hotel situated a lil' away from the mall road. The food is extremely delicious, especially the breakfast. The best part of the resort is its 24 hrs heated pool and the gym.

Just loved staying at the Wildflower Hall. Just the place for a quiet holiday away from the crowds. Exclusive, posh, expensive an the legendary Oberoi service. Indoor swimming pool (closed right now in Oct 2020 because of Covid restrictions). The breakfast is amazing on the terrace with views of the Himalaya towards the East.
