Such a beautiful stay in Hampi! Cottages were built in such a way that they're far from one another.. Staff were nice and kind. Food was good.. well planned itinerary.

Overall one of the best JLR resorts, very supportive staff. Good and tasty food as usual in JLR. Suggest to stay here whoever want visit Hampi better than any hotel.

This is one of the finest resorts JLR has in its possession. We stayed here for 5 nights and 6 days between Oct 18, 2020 to Oct 23,2020. The place is serene, quiet and very expansive in terms of the size of the property. There are a total of 22 cottages spread across the resort which gives a lot of privacy in the midst of a greenery. There is a pretty good distance between each cottage. We stayed in the month of October 2020 and because of the pandemic we were the only family in the 22 cottage resort and we were treated royally.nnAccomodation:nThe cottages are very spacious with AC, Big Bathroom, TV, Kettle, Wardrobes and a sit out. The high ceiling is sloped with wood rafters within. The cottage we stayed had a see through glass window which made it easy to watch birds closely.nnFood:nI have always loved food at JLR properties. They are hygenically prepared, simple and delicious food. Since we were the only family in the resort because of the pandemic we were asked what we wanted and the same was cooked accordingly. The cooks did a wonderful job. I would want to thank Venkatesh, Gangadhar and Amjad for cooking up some awesome dishes. We had the whole Gol ghar to ourselves.nnService:nPar excellence!! Each one of the personal working their exhibit selfless service and go out of their way to serve you.I was impressed by each one of them. The resort is managed by a very young guy from UP and his name is Jitesh. He did his PG in forestry and is deputed here. A nice and warm person to talk to.nnSafari:nJLR have jeeps where they take you inside the Daroji Sloth bear Sanctuary which is supposed to be Asia's largest sloth bear sanctuary which has about 120 sloth bears. They take you to a view point (watch tower) wherein you can watch bears with binoculars. We were able to spot 6 large bears. Also they take you to watch birds near the high level canal and one of the rarest bird you can see is the Eurasian Eagle Owl. We were very lucky to have spotted one. We were taken around by a Senior Naturalist by name Venkatesh who is very knowledgeable about the bear Sanctuary and Hampi as well.nJust opposite to this property is the Atal Bihari Vajpayee zoo which has a lion and tiger safari along with a few animals in the zoo. It is a brand new zoo which opened at the end of 2019. The zoo is spread over 575 acres andnif they get more animals, no doubt it can be one of the largest zoos in India.nnHampi:nThe tourist attractions to Hampi are close by and can be reached in about half an hour to forty five minutes. If you are a history buff, you cannot miss hampi at all. I was lost in a different world all together.nnAihole/Pattadakal/Badami Caves:nThese places are about 140 kms from Hampi which would take you about 3 hours but it's worth it for the kind of ruins and relics you can see here. Badami caves is a must must must visit. It's breath taking.nnFinal impressions:nIf you want a lot of greenery around, peace, serenity and away from the hustle bustle, this is the best place to come and stay. Hampi and other tourist attractions are close by and JLR have packages as well. Absolutely delighted and the trip was worth it. Memorable for sure!
