Travancore Island Resort

A descent 2.5 ish star resort for family and bachelors. Has adequate parking space, clean rooms, slightly lenient on check out times and all for an affordable cost.nnThe innkeeper was courteous and responsive. But, resort was a bit understaffed. One has to rely on one single receptionist for everything. It was ok.

If you want calm and chill, this the one.nThe hotel is very supportive with events and also not so expensive

I booked for OYO 22567 Travancore Island Resort on 08 August 2019 for my family, but the hotel people didn't allow us to check-in. They said, my booking amount was very low to stay there and they said they already mailed to Oyo and goibibo regarding that. I called to goibibo customer care and they are saying the room is confirmed but the hotel peoples are denying our check-in. So we were not able to stay in that hotel and we booked another hotel for a higher cost. We lost almost our precious 4 hours of time, mood and money.... Also, the hotel personals behaviour was very very bad and rude... Negative rating....nPLEASE DON'T BOOK TRAVANCORE ISLAND RESORT... DON'T GO THERE WITH FAMILY... VERY VERY WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY HOTEL BOOKINGS.......

Spacious and can be used for large gatherings like celebrations, etc. A bit of more maintenance of the guest rooms and backyard could escalate its value and standard.

Overpriced Place. NOTHING IS THERE & WORST SERVICE. I booked only because it's near to kovalam beach, but after check-in got to know that beach too far (9km) from this hotel. The electricity supply is the worst compared to anything. it's going off & coming back after 2 hours and it continued till morning, when I asked the hotel staff they don't know anything & how to fix this issue. Also even I realised a ticket for this issue, I haven't received any feedback till now. Without power backup how you can start a business, I asked the hotel staff about power backup. He said directly they won't get profit if they provide generator (power backup). Water available in washroom & swimming pool is SALTY. There's no security for the hotel as well as the parking. Coming to food, the quality is pathetic. it's not even complimentary, I paid nearly ₹150+ for that breakfast service and they provided only one item (APPAM & POTATO Curry). Seriously? in every other oyo we get more varieties and options. Is this the way are you treating your valuable customers? When we vacated the room, the hotel staff doesn't even bother to wake up. Full mosquito problem was there. There's no refrigerator, when we asked the hotel staff whether they have any like public usage he directly said a big NO. Overall I'll not recommended this place. If you can't provide proper service to the customers then just shutdown the bloody business. #oyo @oyo #oyorooms @oyorooms
