Excellent food, at very reasonable cost. At ₹200 per head, or just a little more, enjoy a lunch with fish, prawns, to your heart's desire.nnWe time our road travel on the NH so we stop at this place for lunch.nnBut place is crowded if you reach late for lunch, then service will be slow.nnMost customers don't follow any distance protocol, that's a risk, specially at the wash basin.

Serves extremely good , tasty and fresh food. Need to visit bit early to allow the kitchen prepare food. Crowd expected due to good quality of food. Infra wise it has all good views for a traveller

A very nice and affordable hotel from OTDC. Staffs were very friendly and one of them also gave us complementary breakfast which was not included in the tariff. Nearest place is Kalijai temple which is around 25mins by boat. The watersports complex is also located behind this hotel. Also, not to mention this place is heavily guarded since high-rank govt. officers and ministers visit this place regularly.

Excellent accomodation and good food. Best place for family or group tour. Boat trip for Kalijai Tample on an island in Chilika lake and water sports..

Panthanivas, Barakul is what one can call 'beautiful'. It's quite a big area and in the backdrop is Chilika Lake. One can choose to stay in a lake-view/facing room. That's what we did. There are two bungalow style buildings beside the main building. There's a lawn, a garden and even a playground for kids. Our room had one wall which was practically composed of long windows from where the view of Chilika Lake was absolutely stunning. There's a verandah too from where the same view can be enjoyed uninterrupted by the grills on the window. The staff are mostly quiet but some of them are really nice and helpful. The only downside was that the room was full of insects in the evening because the windows are not absolutely tightly shut (slightly faulty) and electricity was not too dependable (but they have generator which doesn't function as much as required). Overall, a really good experience.
