This place have various types of books and some of them are pretty rare too.nnThe Library, established in 1941, is enriched by steppings of Kumar Munindra Nath Debroy, pioneer of library movement, Dr. Niharranjan Gupta, Novelist, samaresh Basu, Mohitlal Majumdar etc.tThroughout 70 years this library is at service with a huge populace surrounding 1 km., to spread among them habit and culture of using library and reading books as an aid to spread education & culttural upliftment of the area using huge assets of the library including more than 8000 books collected throughout 70 years. At present more than two hundred membrers are provided books of various subjects.nnMedha Section:- Various books & magazines for competitive examinations & knowledge devolopement for devolopement of human resources.nnReading Section:- Various magazines like Navokollol,Sukhi Grihokon,Anandamela,Suktara,Desh, and Daily Ananda Bazar Patrika, Daily The Telegraph, Employment News are kept open for reading purpose without any charge.nnEnglish Book Section:- Execellent collection of English Books on various subjects.nnChildren Sections:- There is a stock of more than 2000 books of various subjects which is continuosly devoloped by new collections.nnCultural Wing:- Regular class of dance,recitation,tabla,performinig arts are conducted here and also examination centre of above subjects approved approved by Bangiya Sangeet Parishad.Besides above the library is engaged in rendering various services to the society by conducting seminars,debates,exhibitions,cultural programmes,sahitya sabha etc.nnIt remains open from 6PM to 9PM everyday except Saturday.
