One of the pleasant stay I ever had.. You should definitely try if you like vintage atmosphere.

Nice place tucked away from the main road and the city. The place has an interesting calm combined with the remains of British architecture and it is run by the family's sixth generation currently. The food could have been better but as far as the stay goes you can go for it. They also have a lovely boxer by the name of mustang.

10/10 experience at Old British House. Amazing place with great ambience. Perfect combination of peace and beautiful vibe. Pleasant stay with the super host, Mustang who loves a few pat and rubs on his back. ❤ufe0f

Staying at The Old British House for a week was a great experience for my wife and me. Starting most importantly with the Sehgal family who were so warm and helpful. Harshit is an engaging host and has kept the historic property beautifully and tastefully. Everyday we met in the evenings over hot ginger lemon and had great conversations. The homemade meals were simply awesome - everything is made fresh with natural ingredients. The chef can be spotted in the morning picking herbs and spices from the garden! The room and washroom were clean, functional with a nice rustic look. The wifi was fast, the common kitchen was fully functional with gas range, refrigerator, purified water dispenser, and all cutlery/pots/pans to make your own meals if you wish - though we preferred the awesome homemade food from their in-house chef! Finally, the location and ambience was peaceful, green, and comforting. We loved sitting out in the garden and spotting birds - spotted the Bird of Paradise on our last day as if it was a farewell gift of sorts! The location can't get better - on the peaceful part of Rajpur Road from where you can walk to 4 amazing cafes, the Himalayan Weavers store for handmade scarfs etc., and the start points of the Kipling trail and the Malsi Reserve Forest trail. Can't ask for more! Thank you to the Seghal family and Nik the Super Chef (his soups are to die for, especially the Roast Pumpkin Soup!!)

Beautiful and cozy, old style. Home cooked delicious meals. Lovely property. Although everything is at additional cost so it was quite expensive for stay of 3 families. But we got to use the open lawn for bonfire. One room had a fireplace which was a new experience for us. Overall a fabulous experience!!
