When true passion finds its way of expression it tends to leave people inspired.. that is exactly how I would sum up this place. A breather for those who are looking for an experience of true Kumaon and it’s generous beauty. Great host, courteous staff, in touch with nature, delicious meals and superb location. What else could you ask for! Thankyou Ambika maam for this beautiful experience and inspiration.

Trying to put every basic detail in the points below:nn1.The trip starts right from the parking spotnBy a Roller coaster Marshall (jeep)ride for 3 kms driven by Manoj ji into the estaten2. Great host Ambika ji and entire team(Manoj ji/chandu ji/Santosh ji/diwan ji)n3. Food is delicious (kumaoni special is a must)!!n*respect the struggle behind the delicious meals served at your table and Iam sure you’ll love itn4. Treks are must if you love wild life(Chandu ji is a great trek lead-loved the way he guided us )n5. Coming to the rooms, we stayed in Oak and the place has every single essential furniture/asset. The host has ensured everything required to keep you away from cold.n6. Water is a big commodity in mountains. So be respectful to it and to the surroundings as well. The team has ensured to keep the entire place clean and tidy. We can chip in with our contributionn7.Carry good warm clothes along with good trekking shoesn8. Avoid plastic. We took our bottles and got it refilled. Minimise the plastic use.if possible carry your plastic with you.n9. Forest walk/ sunset walk and lamkeshwar temple are mustn10. Morning Coffee / tea was great way to start the dayn11. 3 nights minimum to enjoy the place and believe me you’ll miss the serenity as soon as you travel down even to Almora!!nThis place is for like minded people, who have a soft corner for environment. If you’re one , you’ll have an amazing time.nThank you Misty mountain team for hosting us. Definitely coming back again!! ud83dude42ud83dude42

Misty Mountains is a serene offbeat location located in between the forests of Gangolihat.nThis is how our trip looked like: We got a prompt conversation from the hosts and she shared the location with us.nDay 1: We reached the shared location and from there ferry service was provided for the 3Km off road route to the place. The drive is amazing as you get to witness the local village and chit chat with Manoj Ji. We were welcomed by Ambika Ma’am and enjoyed the lunch. Chandu Ji took us for a walk which was worth the sunset view.nDay 2: Post breakfast we left for Lamkeshwar Trek with our leader :p Chandu Ji. You get the view of panchacholi, Trishul and nanda Devi peak from the place. We enjoyed some Kumaoni delicacies for the lunch and Sana hua nibu made by the host herself.nDay 3: We decided to chill around the place and were able to spot some really pretty birds. Chandu Ji took us for a forest walk.nSome amazing things about the place:n1.) It is a serene, clean, minimalist but ample, nature respecting and a calm place.n2.) A great place for people who like to walk and explore non-commercialised places.n3.) There are no TVs in the room, an internet connectivity enough to keep you connected and a lot of warmth.n4.) They do not encourage plastic so you will not see bisleri bottles but water better than that.n5.) The food is home-like which keeps you away from those weird travel bowels and is made of locally grown vegetables.n6.) Ambika Ji is a great host and open to some great conversation.nCons:n1.) The place isn’t meant for people who can’t respect nature.
