This wonderful temple constructed in 1220 AD has grand architecture with a entrance dome having a huge lotus bud on the ceiling. There's only one entrance to the sanctum and inner ceiling is beautiful with lotus bud along with small carvings of sculpture. Complete ceiling is decorated with multiple lotus flowers which is unique.Inner sanctum corridors has wonderful hoysala lathe ornamented pillars and shiva in phallic form. Outer sculpture is badly destroyed and very difficult to recognize the shapes except the designs of the ornaments.

One of the oldest and ancient temples in Arsikere . A must visit place if you are in Arsikere. It is a small temple which is built beautifully by our kings. The outside of the temple and some statues are destroyed . Do visit this if you are in Arsikere. Happy travelling.
