Haranahalli someshwara temple is located at a distance of about 9 kms from Arasikere, Hassan district. This temple is built in Hoysala's style Ekakuta architecture, Meaning single shrine. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva known as Someshwara. This temple is about 800 years old and was built in 1235 AD by Vira Someshwara.There is another Famous Temple very close by dedicated to  Lord Vishnu known as Lakshmi Narasimha temple or Chennakeshava temple.

Though the architecture is grand, outer sculpture is badly damaged and not maintained properly.There's a small passage to enter the temple though the outer gated door is locked.I couldn't see the inner sanctum as it was closed.

A very nice place historical place all must visit once in a life time .there is no entry fee or other but a fee for the musium its only 5 rs there are many gods inside and many other temples. And there is also a gomateshwara in it it is also a very nice place to visit ..its a very good and u will get a local guide to tell u about its history.thank you
