Very beautiful temple of load shiva..... situated on the ghat of holy Narmada river.....the structure of the temple is beautiful......its divine feeling to take a dip in the river.

Said to be of C 14-15 century, its a Shiva temple on the right bank of Narmada. Facing west - it stands on moulded paved court called pitha with sculptures of deities. Temple has a 9 stories Shikhar with Adhakantaka, Natraja and Chamunda on South, East and North respectively. Its built on Bhumija style and is visible from handiya, the other side of the Narmada. Legend is that it was built facing east but Bheem and the Pandavas turned it west overnight in a duel with Kouravas.
