This is a calm place with a lot of vegetation, a ghat nearby and lies in the bank of Anandvalli Smashan Bhoomi. The Barrage is old one believed to be constructed at the time of British. One can get a good view of the barrage from the new bridge. It is said that the Kothi/Wada of Anandibai was nearby. Navshya Ganapati lies to the back side of the barrage which was installed by Anandibai during the period of Peshwa. There is a significant potential in this place to become a tourist destination.
