Good place for tourist but be aware of locals....nMany a times there were little gang wars in those place ...try to keep yourself away from it otherwise you may suffer...nThe boating surfing is awesome and you need to try it....

Very nice place. Boat ride to Kalijai,Chilka.nTourism department has invested a lot to make this place awesome but poor maintainance. Less tourists visit probably the reason. Many things are closed or abandoned. Need lot more promotion of these tourist places. Nice sea foods are available around.

Great place for water sports in Odisha. Different types of water sports facilities available here. You can book a private boat for chilika lake also which will cover all small isalnds near by and kalijai temple. They follow all safety standards while doing water sports and provide life jackets for all age groups. Samall children can also enjoy the sports here. If you are interested in kayaking it's also available here. Price is reasonable .It's gathers lots of tourists during weekends so it's recommended to go beforehand. In weekends they may not allow to do kayaking because it may disturb other water sports. Staffs are very supportive and helpful. Always go on group of two or three because all sports tickets are available for two or three preople to save some extra money.Go to their counters to buy tickets only.
