Had Darshan twice. Powerful place with full of divinity. Very Marvelous and beautiful structures. One must visit this place in December 2014 and October 2019.

The architecture is very grand and unique in style. It has almost six entrances three to the inner hall and other three to the sanctum hall. The outer carvings are wonderful and lively after the renovation from vijayanagara empire.the outer sculpture is beautiful from bhagavatam and other stories.outer upper part is mainly split into three layers with main sculpture and above it guardians holding flowers for the below gods along with sages from the heaven and above it floral and animal forms including garuda and hanuman. The lower part is mainly of miniature dancing postures with several musical instruments along with several layers of animals and human carving designs which are fading away slowly. The main sculpture of vishnu in the form of Rama, varaha, fish, tortoise, narasimha catching hiranyakasipu, Krishna with the flute, vamana and bali, others in the form of ravana lifting kailasa, gaja lakshmi, asta Lakshmi,Durga standing on elephant, shiva as kala bairava, shiva with arrow destroying three forts of tripurasura, several forms of lakshmi, gomateswara, and mesmerising door guardians is wonderful when sunlight is falling on them. The outer shikaram is two layered structure with an entrance and has small carvings, floral designs along with several animals is impressive as vijaynagar empire left its stamp of dancing lady hallmark here which is immortal.inner hall has been completely utilised with grand carved pillars along with royal lions and impressive floral designs and animals.there are three sanctums with ganesha, facial mask for the main lingam and parvati in the form of durga.

A marvel of Vedic architecture : Sri Vidyashankara Temple in Sringeri, Karnataka. In the eastern half of the temple is a mandapa with 12 pillars, huge monoliths carrying large figures & heavy projecting corbels on top. These 12 pillars are marked by the 12 signs of the zodiac in their regular order. . .
