Marwell Zoo

Just saw the movie that inspired & continues a legacy that fulfills life from humanity as well as an animal kingdom. We in so many ways love & pray for those whom have passed through at the times of war & triumph & those whom have stayed & continued on the legacy from those times of hardships to bring about today’s historical Zoo... It is abundantly much more than a Zoo, it’s a home that God has made in great proportions; sort of like a Noah’s arch... God Bless you all...

Very disappointed.nWe tried to make the best of the day for the children's sake.nIt seemed as all the animal enclosures were empty after walking round the whole thing twice over 5 hours.nWe saw the giraffes, which was nice, zebras and penguins too.nThey are all located on the walk into the zoo.nOnce we got into the zoo there were no more exotic animals to see. Just a few bird and ants. The train ride we wanted to try was shut. Also the 'sky walk' paths through the big cat enclosures were shut.nTravelled over 2 hours one way to try this zoo and there are much better choices available closer to home. Over 3 hours to get back.nNot worth going to unless you are very local.

We're lucky to have an annual pass here, and we take full advantage whenever the weather is good! Lovely open space for kids to run and lots of animals to see. Ice cream is always a hit too and the new play area is amazing! Best of all my little one sleeps like a log after a day here, so money well spent

Social distancing was in place. Extra toilets put on site, signs when a mask was needed to make it clear for visitors. A member of staff outside the gift shop to let you know when it was safe to enter. A time slot of 5 hours for your visit which is ample time to make your way round the park, have lunch and check out the gift shop. We went on a bank holiday Monday aswell and had the best day will definitely go back soon.

Great place to take the kids. Social distancing worked really well. During the easing of restrictions I would personally suggest getting there a bit later than the start time. Ours was 12 noon -5pm entry and going in just after 1 was perfect as the queues at the start of the trail around the zoo were lovely and quiet.
