Horrible Experience! Stay Away From This Operator!n(Also go by name Sharma Tours and Travels, same address)nTheir sales team is fraudulent and misleading. Promises while booking:n1. Hotel pickup - upon arrival stated that big cars are not allowed in city so did not pickup from our hotel. “The sales staff, Afsana, we were in contact with till the last day suddenly resigned the day we landed!”n2. Confirmed and reconfirmed that the places suggested by them will be open - we understand that these people can’t control nature, but then they must charge for the services provided. Driver picked us up at 7am in Lachen and informed that Gurudongmar is closed, drove for only 9-10kms and left us back in the hotel around 9:30am!!!! Then left. Lachen is a small village with no tourist attraction and we were left on our own to do nothing. Same thing happened in Lachung. There was no alternative provided and full amount of money taken.n3. They blackmailed us - when we raised these concerns to them on Day2, they asked the driver to stop the car in the middle of nowhere and if necessary leave us there. We had to politely oblige to the SCAM as there was no other option.n4. Our plan was all meal included plan - they informed that meals taken on road were not a included. Mind you, their itinerary is such that you are bound to miss atleast one meal a day in the hotel, so pay from your pocket.nnInterestingly their sales staff took the conversation to WhatsApp (a business account), where we confirmed everything. However, upon showing it to them, they said that WhatsApp conversations are not acceptable. Then why converse on WhatsApp at all?nnTip: Please do not book any tour of Sikkim from any operator. From Gangtok everything is cheap and reliable as you are there and you know the weather and can accordingly plan. Hotels are usually available if it is a non-peak season.
