This is the place if you want to feel the rural life because the way this place is maintained by KalaMandir will force you to feel it to be nothing more than it. The only reason I've given a 4 star is that the hospitality and home cooked food are great. The village is know for its local art which is done using natural colours. You can buy these paintings as souvenirs.

Reception was good. Very homely atmosphere. Food was typical village style and very good taste.

First, DO NOT FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS or else you will be in big trouble. Drive straight on NH 18 till you see RUASHOL on left, take the next left and drive up to the gates of this facility.nThe facility itself is good for a day picnic. There are two cottages and a dormitory if you wish to stay. What you should not expect is luxury. Cottages are clean. Clean toilet with geyser, however most of the time there is no electricity. Stay on a full moon night will give you a wonderful feel. All staff are very cordial and friendly. Basanti, cooks great dehati food. Kishore is a great painter as well as guide. Anil da will sing you a song with great alacrity. Please do help these guys and their ethnic art of pyatkar painting by buying some of these for yourself and your friends. One thing I wish would change, is the way some guests have littered this place by scattering variety of bottles and plastic on the backside of the cottages. To the management, I wish to say that you need to stick to your commitments. Room fare of 2500/- was with generator back up, but we did not get that support.
