A 14th century temple of lord Vishnu, seated on serpent coil and holding Shanka (conch), Chakra (wheel) and Gadha (club), over his head the umbrella of Naga hoods.nRecently, a Megalithic burial of rock cut cave type, accidentally opened and this discovery pushed back the antiquity of the Naga worship there to 2000 years.

The temple will be renovated soon.The temple committee is busy conducting meeting with devotees. The renovation work will start from 18th of this month.

An awesome, old temple dedicated to Lord ParashurAma residing in the form of Linga. The Lord is contemplated to be seated here on the serpent Ananta/shESha, with Brahma sitting on the lotus emerging out of the Lord's navel. So, the Lord, here, is known as AnantapadmanAbha / AnantEshvara. This is historically a very significant temple, much older than the shrI-Kr^ShNa MaTha. shrI MadhvAcArya delivered his last discourse, in Udupi, in this temple, before leaving to Badari, Uttarakhand.nOne should note that there are very few temples where ViShNu is worshipped in the form of Linga. This is one such!
