Chester Zoo

Fantastic day. Definitely wear comfortable shoes, lots of walking. Animals have large enclosures and out door space which is good to see. My childhood memories of zoos were animals had tiny spaces and not a good environment to live in. Chester zoo is doing a great job for conservation. I'll certainly be returning.

Beautiful surroundings for the animals, well planned habitats.nnIt was glorious sun shine on our visit, which meant the animals were more docile and in the shade, harder to view.nnClean and tidy in all public places.nnStill few restrictions in place, which took a little of the enjoyment away, but fully understand why.nnWill visit again.

Amazing and beautiful place to visit. Animal are well cared for. The keepers and other workers are very polite and helpful. Only negative was the 20+minutes queue for some chips

Amazing day out. Take lots of water as it was really hard to find anywhere that would fill our water up - we had to get a kind member of staff to go and get us cups of water to fill our bottles up. Also a paper map would have been good. The staff were all friendly . Would love to go back!

Very enjoyable day! Weather was OK and site was very safe with masses of cleaning stations and plenty of toilets. Virtually all of the animals were out and about and we saw more than we were able to 18 months ago. Food was pretty available but a few more maps and signs to show the way out would be useful.
