A beautiful land Fort is having good fortification, bastions, gates, water tanks and palaces inside fort. According to ancient mentions, the name of this city was first Khemmollas. On the side of the fort, all the sloping slopes from the wall of the fort appear to be like lotus flowers, due to which the name is Kamalaasa. One of the 52 strongholds of Prasur Sangram Singh of Durgavati, Rani of Garhmandla was located here. Due to these fortifications, the kingdom of Durgavati was called Garhmandala. Sangram Singh died in 1541 AD. In the 16th-14th century, the area remained under the Mughals, later defeating the Mughal army in Khimlasa, Dhamonyi and Gadhakota, Maharaj Chhatrasal established his kingdom. After 1818, this area was under the British Empire.
