I am currently working in accessing the fern diversity of niyamgiri but unfortunately due to the Vedanta ,we are facing lot of problem from the local peoples. i am a tribal person too from the west odisha and i want to explain the government the problem but unfortunately due to limited contact and support i am helpless. But i can say this is selfly a hotspot of india...a rich biodiversity place

It's hard to describe the God's creation. At the centre of the struggle was the Dongria’s sacred mountain, the ‘mountain of law’. The Dongrias worship the top of the mountain as the seat of their god and protect the forests there.nnVedanta Resources wanted to mine the bauxite from the top of the same mountain.nThe Dongria Kondh would lose their livelihood, their identity and the sanctity of their most religious site.nIn common with other displaced tribal peoples worldwide, they would also lose their present good health, their self-sufficiency and their expert knowledge of the hills, forests and farming systems that they have nurtured.
