I went to the library for the first time a few days ago. The librarian was not there. And the library was being repainted and renovated, sort of. The assistant librarian/helper was quite nice.nOverall, the infrastructure is passable - definitely needed to be upgraded. The paucity of space restricts the book collection. I even doubt the arrival of new ones. Or do they have international bestsellers or authors or not? Don't really know. Nevertheless, in a refundable amount of just Rs 500 ,they provide lifetime membership and there is a collection of books of all three most used languages - Punjabi, Hindi and English. There are newspapers and magazines . It seems comfortable and have a conducive environment.nThe building is what it is - a typical Indian government building. However, for a decent library experience and need , especially for avid readers who can't afford much , it is nice . I am planning to go there.

You can read here or study. most of the books are quiet old here but for a membership fee you can become lifetime member.infrastructure needs to be upgraded.
