Uprising of 1857 sparked from here when more than12000 Twelev Thousand Sepoys of 14th Cavalry stationed in Jhansi took over this Star Fort after blasting southern contour and thereafter they won in Jhansi forcing British Officers and their army to surrender. Hereafter speard all over northern India and one by one uprising cane up in many parts from Peshawar, Lahore, Shimla, Kashmir and all around.

Today Star Fort is hiding many stories of Sacrifice and valour.A real monument of 1857 Uprising.
