One of most historical library in West Bengal. The library has a huge collection of rare books including foreign books brought by the King of Coochbehar, that are preserved safely. The library staff are well behaved and very helpful. Currently all types of books related to competitive examination available including coaching. New tiles and colour gives it whole new look. But by the I visited the library the toilet was too bad smelling and dirty.
It has a varied collection of books and not just Bengali language books but also English and Hindi too. A very spacious and peaceful reading room too.

Like every other library it has enormous amount of book collection. Specially some brief history and knowledge about the time of kingship in Coochebhar. You will surely love to explore it.nSome times district Library arranges philately / numismatic show.nRecently officials have managed to start a free coaching class for various competitive exams specialty WBCS, with the help of other of some wbcs officials.
A good placr to spend relaxing,studying here. Millions of books available,rooms are clean,big & fully air conditioned. Situated at the hear of the town.
