Nedumkayam Rain Forest

Beautiful place to visit. Wanted to explore more, But, Felt scary after seeing some dogs and tribal people. So, left earlier than expected

Nice place to hangout. But there is no much places or location to explore more or to enjoy a whole day. Just a 2 hours visit, enjoy the nature beauty, spend some time, go home.

Nothing much to do here, a calm and quiet place, maybe good for outing with family provided you come prepared with food, theres a river, a bridge, a tomb of the engineer who designed the bridge and a tribal village along with an unused elephant kraal, that's it.nnYou are not supposed to venture deep into the forests without permission, its dangerous too because of elephants, if you are lucky you could sight money's (lion-tailed macaque) on the trees.

Cool calm place. If lucky you can spot elephants which i did. River has less water in January but that makes it safe to go with kids and family. Nothing much specifically to do, but good for a small outing.

Good place for a 1 km walk through the woods on the Chaliyar river side. An apt spot for birders!nnBetter carry mosquito repellents!nCharges for Adult Rs.35, Still camera Rs.40, and for bike parking Rs. 40.
