Chinkili mada is a historically important place. The route to chinkili mada is quite difficult. But the risk taken is worth. Nice place to chill. Deep and beautiful quarries with fresh water is a perfect sight for eyes. It might not be recognised or well known to people, even to those who live around chinkili mada. So, finding the route might seem difficult.The inside of the cave is very cool and is a relief during hot sunny days.nnHistoric importance of chinkili mada is unbelievable. This was the place where the buddhas lived for meditation and all, and also was used as a secret tunnel to reach Kadampuzha, Mattummal etc. Buddhas are called simhalas and hence the name chinkili. (It is just a rumour and scientific evidence is so far not found).nnGood place to visit and chill.
