The Oorakam Hill in Malappuram is located at a height of 2,000ft above the sea level.A trek up to the hilltop will also take you to an ancient temple.This is believed to be the most ancient temple in Kerala after Sabarimala. The temple, which is around 2000 years old, is completely built using granite stones. Right next to it, you will see another newly-constructed temple.

The nature was excellent. Good place to feel nature. The trekking is moderate. Don't throw any plastics there. Uncontrolled quarry works destroys its nature and beauty.

Just awesome place for relief.....we want to climb the whole mountain but at last u guys sure get goal for that hardwork.......such a nice place. Also please try to visit early morning
