I did not use the terminal but there is a really good parking place just outside of the station. Many people would never recommend to drive in Rome but I will definitely disagree with that, I rented a car and went pretty much everywhere, toy just need to be careful but it is so much fun to go anywhere you want without waiting for a bus or train, and making long lines. It is not for everyone but if you can and are not scare go for it.

I consider myself as a person with a good direction and orientation. Somehow I had a problem finding the metro's entrance. The signs to the metro line are just plain wrong! They brought me to the "exit only, no enter" or another line. And if you happened to accidently find the entrance it's still a long and confusing way to the right track. I spent time walking to the platform as much as in the russian metros even the rome metros aren't built so deep.

It’s a bit scary walking there alone in the evening with all the homeless and scary looking Africans. Also be aware of that there is no information about the city bus tours, no signs where to find your bus and for the airport shuttles you need to go on the other street which no one explains how to get there. Basically is a huge and scary mess !!!

They keep it decently clean and there is enough space to walk around, but it is not the safest place. Just be careful if you look like a tourist because it feels like tourists become targets for pickpockets and scams, but there are a lot of great train routes that leave through here.
