Speleovivarium

Wonderful little museum about speleology. Enter the underground world and meet the animals of the caves!

It is only open on Sundays for the public but it is really worth a visit. however, try to reach the opening: you will find the guide who will take you through a journey in the center of the earth, to discover what we do not see but which is an integral part of our territory. Recommended especially for the little ones, with all the experiments and dioramas.

A very special experience, especially having to live with families ... A wonderful reconstruction of the cave environment of the Karst of Trieste and its animals ... Fantastic reconstruction in a former anti-aircraft gallery ...

Located inside a bunker built before the Second World War, the vivarium pin hosts an exceptional exhibition on the underground life where the cavities are described in addition to the various life forms present but the phenomenon of karst is described and shown of which our area is full of them

Excellent museum, well set up and with a well structured path. The guide was very kind and you could feel his deep knowledge in the field and his passion. The museum is open only on Sundays, and closed in summer due to temperature problems (the whole is around 16 degrees), but you must not hesitate to call for a visit (the numbers are on the website or on the notice displayed on the entrance door)! Unfortunately, the museum is too little known and disciplines such as speleology, geology and the like do not have the right attention. They deserve much more !!
