It is not easy to break through the “capatosta” of Cosentini and make people accept that good cured meats 🥓and cheeses 🧀 can also be produced outside the Calabrian borders. Oreste, on the other hand, a very nice and courteous owner and manager 👨🏻‍🍳, succeeded in the arduous task. In fact, it offers a rich and wide selection of Tuscan and non-Tuscan cured meats, accompanied by a truly excellent and varied selection of cheeses, such as pecorino alla mentuccia for example. The best way to taste all this goodness is definitely to order a nice mixed platter, so you can also try some succulent cherry tomatoes 🍅in oil and some caramelized onions. The jams and honey are also succulent 🍯, with which to accompany cheeses that are a little stronger perhaps. The focaccia 🍞then never fails, because as soon as Oreste realizes that the one he had already brought you is running out, it is immediately ready with another bowl full of hot, steaming and "scrocchiaruse" strips of this golden pan. Excellent selection of wines, local and not, but for most I recommend to taste the local Sangiovese. The water is invariably free, being strictly water from the "zumpo", fresh and light. Of particular note are the hot dishes, such as meat and mixed grills, especially in summer, when you have the opportunity to dine practically under the arch of Ciaccio, in the internal courtyard of the restaurant. I forgot, the restaurant is spread over two floors, being located inside an ancient building in the famous arch itself, it has very high ceilings on the floor below and an informal and spacious environment, suitable for all types of groups. In short, if I have not managed to convince you to take a leap, "capatosta" then you are really there. You and I Orestì see you soon ... 👋🏻

Oreste, the owner, very good! It makes you feel at home immediately😊. We took a delicious platter of cold cuts and cheeses, of which I really enjoyed the gorgonzola bruschetta and the olle onion sauce of which I obviously had a well-deserved bis. All accompanied by a merolt. I highly recommend it.
