Super!
TOP!!!!!!!
I write this review after dealing with the loss of my cat, and I write it without bitterness but, I suppose, objectively. The staff is professional, the night shift doctor who welcomed me (sparse hair, apparently grumpy but later very polite), already through an ultrasound he had found an incorrect heartbeat of my kitty, which then proved to be the main cause of the problems that led to death, thanks also to the staff girls who were very courteous and helpful with me to always show me my kitty; BUT THERE ARE BUT ...
First of all, I won't dwell too much on expenses; if they have to be tackled they are many and demanding, and fortunately they are not a problem for me, but some could have been avoided, such as the rays made the next day compared to those made the previous day. They planned a lot of visits, knowing perfectly well that the situation was rather serious and would not last long, but I was desperate for advice and the possibility of bringing my kitty home.
During an interview with a doctor, about 40nne, I felt treated like a m € rd @, he blamed me for having underestimated the attitudes where other veterinarians had always reassured me, and after having exposed me to a worrying clinical picture, after giving me said that in the hypothetical possibility of recovery from pneumonia, the cat, undergoing constant cardiac care, would have lived between two months and 2 years, however, they continued to arrange visits with enormous costs that at the beginning I thought justified. I repeat, the touch used by this doctor, NONEXISTENT even on a second occasion. I felt guilty for the conditions my pet was experiencing.
Instead of taking me to the decision that the cat would have suffered, that the pathology was really serious, that he would not have been able to return to what he once had, however, giving me a very narrow perspective on life, which would never have returned home, leading me to evaluate the right way of the suppression, they have planned other blood tests, other X-rays and obviously hospitalizations from 130 euros per day at their facility. I am not saying that the treatments were not correct, it is clear, what they did they did with professionalism, but in a serious case like this, I would have preferred they had taken me aside and made me understand the gravity. I would have faced the difficult choice. I didn't want to persevere in undue treatment, but I blindly entrusted myself to their judgment which I believe was not wise enough.
I spent 1300 euros in about 2 days (including euthanasia proposed to me after the heart attacks during the night). And my cat never came home.
Premise: I would never have written such a review if I didn't have the issue particularly close to my heart.
The positive side of this clinic, which was worth the only star, is the availability 24 / 24h. The downsides, however, are too many. Three weeks ago we took our cat to visit, who for some days had been struggling with urination and expulsion of feces. It looked like cystitis, diagnosed by Dr. Agata, who in addition to explaining how to behave with the cat, prescribing drugs suitable for the diagnosis, also put us in a bit of panic (which can be there), because it seemed that the cat was very close to the go en bloc and die. In the meantime, urine tests are also done, the result of which was cystitis with crystals again.
We follow the prescribed treatments, but the cat continues not to improve, in fact, after a few days it also starts to vomit. So let's call again: the chief physician, Dr. Matteo, replies that, following our story, he tells us that he would like to visit him on the same day. Outcome of the visit: it is cystitis, we must continue treatment and be patient because we cannot expect immediate improvements (words of the doctor). We ask at this point if there may be another approach because it has been almost two weeks since we have seen our cat suffer without any improvement - the answer was quite rude, put on the level of "you don't have to tell me how to do my job" when we ask information about an operation (urethrostomy) that we had heard about for a cat with conditions similar to ours. So let's leave it alone.
Another week passes, needless to say that the cat has not had any improvement, and, indeed, is starting to reject the treatments. At this point, discouraged and afraid, we turn to another clinic, whose veterinarians, doing more detailed tests, come to discover that the problem was the coexistence of cystitis and enteropathy, which together caused extreme pain and fatigue to the cat, and for which a more thorough examination on the intestine was enough to understand that our cat was completely clogged with feces. It is not known which of the two problems caused the other or why: the fact is that the treatments we had followed up to that point were only partially valid, which is why we have not seen any improvement.
Fortunately, the second clinic we contacted managed to solve the "clogging" problem quickly, and now we have adequate care, with which we are seeing rapid improvements in both behavior (rightly he had become very shy for fear of further visits and medicines) and obviously in the health of our cat.
This has been our experience with the Due Madonne veterinary clinic: confusing, anxious, with doctors who are always different, ill-disposed to greater clarifications, but above all completely useless.
I leave aside the pecuniary side of the situation.
My advice is: if in the end something does not come back, or you are not sure, always ask for another opinion, it could save the life of your beloved animal.
