THIS WAS NOTHING SHORT OF FABULOUS FOR ME. THE D`ESTE BIBLE, DANTE`S WORKS, NOTES AND LETTERS OF THE FAMOUS, ANCIENT MAPS, ITS ALL HERE.
Giulia SQUADRINI (09/06/2019)
Wonderful library, inestimable heritage of thousands of illuminated manuscripts, manuscripts and over 600,000 volumes between ancient and modern; it belonged to the Este dukes who collected it in the two capitals, first in Ferrara and from 1598 in Modena. It should become a World Heritage Site, but instead it is crushed by the management that privates its twin Galleria Estense, its jewel, the most beautiful book in the world, in two volumes, the Bible by Borso d'Este (1455-1461), a masterpiece of miniature Ferrara Renaissance, is no longer visible to the public for some time and neither is the splendid copy published by Franco Panini publisher.

Know YOUR CITY MUCH MORE LIVING AND IMPORTANT
Ilario Bonomi (02/17/2018)
Do not miss the brief visit to the book treasures contained within the library. You enter from the "normal" entrance and go left into the exhibition room, where there are dozens of splendid illuminated books from various eras, one more admirable than the other. A feast for the eyes, which is rare to find elsewhere.
Simone Benvenuti (05/21/2018)
The real diamond of this building, in addition to the splendid Galleria Estense. A must see is the Bible by Borso D'Este: an absolute masterpiece of the illuminated manuscripts of the 15th century. The copy is available in the Library. Over 2,000 pages of beautiful and refined masterpieces.
