Thanks to the audio guide, we have appreciated the history of this statue, which depicts not already a particularly attractive woman ("bona" in the sense of "beautiful"), but rather a woman who, in times of famine, proved particularly generous towards those who were in need ("bona" therefore in the sense of "good"). Appreciable the fact that it is well cleaned, unlike other monuments exposed to the weather and pigeons.

Of this small statue, placed on the corner of the building at the outlet of via Castellaro on Piazza Grande, it fascinates above all the mystery of the identity of the mysterious lady depicted. Perhaps truly an ancient benefactor named Bona, today however a small piece of history that looks at the square and watches over and protects those who pass by.
