Not been there as yet but would recommended a report by Gino Beer called The Partisans and No 1 Special Force in the Modena Area. My uncle Victor Kensett Styles an escapee British POW joined the partisans with others where involved with the conflict at Montefiorina.

Vast, well-assorted, Museum of the Resistance, of the Second World War, exhibited in Medieval Rooms, important finds, good captions, prepared guides, moderate ticket prices. Lots of interesting things, friendly and competent staff. Also visit the Castle, free of charge. Free parking nearby.

A piece of heart and history of our land. You can breathe the resistance of ordinary people against the horror of war and abuse. Too bad for the tower, not open because of the works ..
