VERY LOW PROFESSIONAL, LACK OF RESPECT FOR THE CUSTOMER The Salemme company took care of the joint funeral of my mother and my aunt, which took place in Rome. Based on the facts below, I would like to assign to the company in question, a very poor professional judgment, combined, moreover, with an almost total lack of respect for the client. After the cremation, at the time of the burial of the urns, the marble worker, contacted by the Roman correspondent of Salemme, took the tombstone of the family tomb to add the two names, with the promise to reassemble it shortly. Living abroad I was able to visit the tomb only a long time later (in the meantime I received no communication, neither from Salemme, nor from the marble worker), and only at that point I realized that the tombstone was missing! It had never been relocated to its place, and the tomb had therefore remained empty for over a year. After informing the Salemme company immediately, after three months, the tomb is still without a headstone. In the meantime, both my brother and I have tried numerous times to solicit an intervention, either by telephone, by mail or personally. In the vast majority of cases we have not had any answer. Three months after the first report, Salvatore Salemme, has sent us a quote with which he would like us to repay the plaque, which, according to the marble worker, would be "lost". But what responsibilities can we have of this "loss"? I repeat that no one has ever tried to contact us to report any problems. For the sake of clarity, I add that neither I nor my brother have, nor chosen, nor entered into any contract with the appointed marble worker, nor received any estimate or invoice from him, and that everything happened through Salemme, which should therefore take charge of each any problem / lack occurred.
