A truly valuable castle hidden behind the main street of the town. It stands on a square that is often the site of well-organized village events. It is striking for its grandeur and its good degree of conservation in the external facade. One of the best places of historical interest in the area with the only aggravating circumstance of not being accessible weekly. The inner part is stripped of the ornaments of the past. There is a valuable cellar next to the main door of which the grooves of the now lost drawbridge are intact. The tower, a little back from the edge of the stands, is rotated slightly counterclockwise. The seventeenth-century stately wing behind the palace was added by Sauli. According to the official website of the municipality, five muzzle-loading rifles of the National Guard (1848) and the Frescoes by Franceschino Boxilio and school (Madonna with Child, Santa Lucia, San Biagio, San Francesco) are preserved inside the castle. 15th century, torn from the Church of Nostra Signora delle Ghiare. Of the same provenance are the large canvases with San Bovo and a curious polychrome wooden sculpture: it is a Madonna with Child which encloses the Redeemer seated with the Cross; inside the doors two angels in adoration of Christ (15th century) ¹. The reception hall houses an evocative 18th century Nativity (donated to the Pro Loco by Mª Emma Dellachà); a portrait of the canonical Bottazzi, by Tirso Capitini; a portrait of the Marquis Morando, one of a gentleman and one of a gentlewoman; a large medallion with a photograph by G.B. Oddini. On the lower floor, a Roman tomb has been recomposed as a well for cremation (2nd century AD) accompanied by a clay lamp bearing the FORTIS brand; it was found in 1958 in the locality of Zinzini, not far from the Via "Aemilia Scauri".

The pizza was good only that the mixture was too thick and raw inside. The rest is fine.

A castle of other times, however, is worth the expense to visit it
