Better than I expected. Wish I'd visited sooner.

A magic place where Luciano lived and died. Here you feel his humblness and great joy of living.

Not what we expected at all. A modest place that was very humbling to walk around. Lovingly cared for and not too touristy. I now believe that the man was greater than his myth!

Absolutely amazing tribute to one of the greatest creative geniuses of all time. The museum being in Pavarotti's house makes it quite an intimate experience to visit. It taught me a lot that I hadn't known about his origins, expansive personality, works and even outreach. There were even some unpublished video snippets for aficionados. A must visit for anyone in Modena.

I have loved Luciano for years. In 1982 I discovered his voice on a cassette tape of Tosca with his childhood friend, Mirella Freni. I sang opera from 14-45 years of age. When I was younger, I looked up his address at the library (Who's Who) and my mom sent him a letter when I had voice problems. HE WROTE ME BACK. These weren't form letters, these were letters to ME. I had 3 letters from him & got to meet him in person in NYC at the MET. This museum is fantastic! It is an intimate look into the Maestro's life. The house he was born in, this home on the outskirts of Modena is lovely and filled with memories. They give you a listening device and there are numbers on the rooms so you can listen about the things in there. The bed is the one he passed in, for me, holy ground. There is an elevator that allows you to see all the floors. In the basement, there is a fan room filled with paintings from fans and letters and mementos of all sorts. In that room, I held up my 3 letters from him and took a picture by that wall. Unforgettable. The gift shop is reasonably priced and the people there are very nice. There was a restaurant near by, but I had already spent hours in the museum so I had to go meet my group. Modena is 27 minutes by train from Bologna, so if you're in the area... GO and see this!
