It's a perfect place where to have a beautiful view of the whole city
Very beautiful 15th century castle, very well kept. The manor is immersed in the greenery of the surrounding park (also very well kept) and the driveway with the two rows of lime trees is very impressive and perfect for taking pictures!
The only flaw: it is not possible to take pictures inside the Castle (leaving out the Chinese soldiers in terracotta) as it is private.
A centuries-old castle, owned by the Barattieri family until 1963.
It maintains the original structure in different points and in the plan, with the keep with two entrances, pedestrian and driveway, and the two characteristic circular towers.
The internal parade ground, obviously rearranged, offers hints of elegance and refinement.
The rooms have been furnished with antiques of good value, by the new owner, although some original pieces of the noble family have remained, such as the safe, some paintings and two cantoniere door relics.
On the lower floor there is a collection of ancient and modern weapons, a collection of the new property and a prison cell, complete with chains.
The bedroom in the keep is interesting, witness of a tragic story, where the myth of a ghost of a servant is born who wanders above all when they marry weddings (so said by the guide).
In the attic, notelovi the wooden trusses, all original, you can visit the MIM, a dynamic museum of modern art.
In the basements the 1: 1 scale reproductions of the Xian warriors, incredible (I went, almost just for that).
A small flaw, which did not give top marks was the haste of the guide.
For the rest recommended.
Very nice still furnished and with a small collection of Chinese clay soldiers in the basement. Recommended
The Castle is beautiful. The MIM (Exhibition of Modern Art) is interesting and the Terracotta Army is unique… even if copies have an incredible charm.
