Forte San Moritio

Savoy fortification in an anti-French key. The Fort is visible today as a grassy relief in the shape of a 5-pointed star. His task was to watch over the Colle della Roussa, beyond which there was an appendix of the Kingdom of France that went as far as Pinerolo, then called Pignerol. After the Treaty of Utrecht, in 1700, the high valleys of Susa and Chisone were definitively annexed to the Duchy of Savoy and the Colle della Roussa was never again a state border.
