Founded in 1990 as the Institute for the Conservation and Study of Naturalistic Materials of Romagna, since 2004 the current Museum of Ecology in Cesena has presented an interesting collection of the main species of fauna mostly coming from the Savio Valley. The animals can be admired inside dioramas that reconstruct scenes of natural life and accompany the visitor on a suggestive journey along the main river of Cesena, the Savio river.

Museum not big, but nice. Even the little ones liked it. One more star for the kindness and availability of the guys who work there, ready to answer your questions and curiosity. In addition, it offers a superb view of Cesena and Piazza del Popolo.

The museum houses a permanent exhibition of local Romagnola fauna, from the mountains to the mouth of the river Savio. All animals (stuffed) are inserted in the appropriate ecological niches, described and presented by the museum guide. The visit is suitable for any audience, from the smallest to the largest. In addition, temporary periodical exhibitions are hosted.

Pleasant surprise in Cesena. Spectacular location, only the view of Piazza del Popolo from above is worth the visit. Andrea very kind, has made us a thorough visit spegandoci with all his passion the fauna of our valley. It also features a beautiful Conference Room. Do not miss if you visit Cesena.
