Village surrounded by nature in perfect Touring style. Ideal for those who want to spend a holiday in the silence of nature, in accommodations perfectly inserted in the Mediterranean scrub and centenary olive trees. Everything is always taken care of respecting nature and privacy as much as possible. Equipped beach with bar and spaces for recreational and sporting activities. The beach, a small private cove with no mooring, is always very clean and made up of mixed sand pebbles. First beach in Italy with no smoking (small reserved area for smokers behind the bar). To reach the beach from the accommodation area, you can walk down a path immersed in the greenery of 152 steps, or using the free shuttle service. Quality and quantity restaurant service with attentive and friendly staff. Basic evening entertainment and for those with few pretensions ... certainly improved.
We spent a 15-day vacation in the first half of August with my wife and daughter, with the residence formula. The structure is surrounded by greenery among pines and olive trees and overlooks the beach of cala d'arconte, full of greenery and with sand mixed with gravel. The sea is beautiful and clean, as in much of the coast after a couple of meters it goes down and cannot be touched. Spacious and equipped beach with bar and games, it can be reached by a nice shady path or by shuttle. Discreet and pleasant entertainment. Good quality and variety restaurant. Possibility of extra excursions, a little more limited this year due to covida but well organized, in Cilento there are many things to see both on the sea and in the interior. Very good cleanliness and spacing. The town of Marina di Camerota is a couple of km away, there is (during the day, not illuminated) a beautiful panoramic path, the shuttle services this year have been limited and therefore if you are without a car it limits a bit, while arriving by train it is convenient with the Frecce and Italo which stop in the nearby stations of Pisciotta-Palinuro or Centola. Overall a beautiful holiday and excellent structure, the only limit is the absence of an internal market and laundry. There is no swimming pool but given the type of sea you don't miss it. Kind and competent person.
Wonderfully surrounded by nature. Clean, elegant and well organized in all respects. Valuable rare thing: For a week I saw little plastic, little advertising, I did not hear radios, televisions, cars (excluding only the shuttle and a couple of electric beaches for village services), motorcycles etc. But I saw a beautiful olive grove, in which comfortable lodgings are discreetly inserted; a beautiful wooden staircase leading to the sea (we went up with the shuttle), perfectly integrated into nature; a beautiful semi private cove (shared only with another settlement), with elegant white and green umbrellas and sunbeds and a very clean sea; beautiful sunsets over the sea in silence; etc. Excellent catering, services and customer care, exceeding my expectations. Animation Q.B. (How much Enough), not invasive but very nice. Keep the natural village as it is. It is a valuable and increasingly rare and appreciable place. I hope to come back soon.
Very beautiful, vast and naturalistic village.
I make my report card:
- RECEPTION 5/5: available, clear and kind.
- RESTAURANT 4/5: average good food, wide choice and typical local and quality products. There is always the choice of meat / fish. The only flaw is that the pasta is often overcooked.
- WAITERS 5/5: my personal opinion during the COVID period. The undersized dining room staff and unlike other years there is no longer the buffet type, but goes out of their way to try to meet any customer need. Obviously there are some errors but it is dictated by wanting too much to please the demanding clientele and who thinks they are the only one eating at that moment. Special commendation for Antonio and Gianfranco!
- ROOMS 3/5: we are talking about a residence with a sea view. Equipped with air conditioning, but the mattresses are in my opinion too hard and low, the bedspreads old (with a few spots and holes here and there), clean towels but with rust-like stains that have been there for a long time and, finally, poor supply of shower gel and soap daily. It can be done better!
- ANIMATION and RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES 4/5: wide range of activities offered (canoeing / windsurfing / archery / tennis / beach volleyball / excursions / water aerobics), during the COVID period certainly the animation it has suffered the most however, gave fun evenings in the theater. The only flaw, given that there are already various limitations due to COVID, a more fiscal one would have been welcome than those few scheduled activities (water aerobics / gymnastic activities on the beach not always carried out or carried out at variable times for example). Special commendation to Filippo Clini for archery.
- BEACH 4/5: The service offers a very clean beach as per Touring Club policy, mainly composed of gravel. Umbrella and deck chairs assigned and bar service. Negative note the water is not always clean, especially in the afternoon and when boat traffic is high.
The BEST and the WORST: The top are the boat excursions accompanied by a biologist that allow you to admire the naturalistic beauties of the place (to be agreed and paid separately) with the possibility of swimming from the boat and snorkeling with the biologist.
The worst is the check-out: forcing people to leave the accommodation at 10 am is not the best considering that there is a crowd at the reception, which in any case does not give you the opportunity to fully enjoy the last morning at sea and since full board includes the last lunch, from 10 to 12:30 they do not know how to use the time (activities and entertainment suspended on the day of departure) and therefore people decide to have a sad sack sandwich prepared to eat on the journey home ...
Highly recommended because on average the stay is very pleasant. Suitable for families and couples. If you are lucky you can even see the hatching of some turtle eggs that go to nest on the magnetic beach! I will definitely be back
A wonderful bay, immersed in the Mediterranean scrub. An immense beach that plunges into a crystalline sea with a thousand green / blue shades. No television and animation always present and never intrusive! If you want a holiday in the noisy luxury of certain villages, then this is not for you. If, on the other hand, you want to regain possession of the silent nights marked by the rhythm of the surf, if you want to dream looking at the starry sky, if you want to rediscover how pleasant it is to spend your time among a thousand activities or just reading a book and refresh yourself with a good swim, well, it's the ideal place to spend a holiday! Congratulations to all the staff for their efforts despite the thousand limitations due to safety related to the COVID-19 containment! For the children it is a paradise! Touring style accommodation, basic but functional! See you next summer!
