The Ravinis Carnival Museum is in the old barracks in Via Piave. It isn't open to visitors all year round so you must book your visit; this is very important!!! In the museum you can see costumes and masks. They are all beautiful. The people of Ravinis make the masks and the costumes of the Ravinis Carnival Museum. Ravinis is a small village near Paularo. It is two kilometres from the main town. Besides the traditional costumes and masks, at the museum there are the Guriuz costumes. According to legend, the Guriuz are elves and they live in the woods. The Ravinis masks parade all over Italy.You can see the Ravinis carnival masks in the streets of Paularo during “The Mistirs”. Mistirs is a festival of the old crafts and it is on the last weekend of August.
