Camping Valmalene

Great place to stay if you like "American-style" camping with tents, campfires, etc. It is the best of both worlds, desolate by location, but there is a bar/restaurant at the top of the hill for those who want to drink or eat. Great for kids and pets. The tent camping area was perfect!

Spacious campside with mostly grass surface. We spent 2 nights there and have to say the place is a bit depressing and sad. Little run down with spots full of some garbage from past constructions - not everywhere, just at certain spots! The staff is ok but not super friendly for sure. The supermarket looks like the better days are long gone which really applies to the entire place and unfortunately also the mountains surrounding it. There is lot of garbage in the forest and paths are sometimes not maintained. The entire valley seems quite abandoned. Honestly, recommend picking another spot.
