Palazzo Palmieri

Unique building of its kind, the square in front deserves more attention to note the characteristic columns

It has 2 entrances, one on Piazzetta Falconieri and one along the street of the same name, which leads to the Duomo. It is not possible to visit the Palace but it is advisable to take a photo of the facade of the building. in the garden there is an interesting testimony of pre-Roman times, in the 19th century it hosted Giuseppe Bonaparte and Murat, who engraved his seal on a shelf of the building to thank for their hospitality.

The photo is not part of the Palmieri palace but it is the cloister of the Ex-monster of the Theatines.

An impressive palace full of history. It is located in the historic center, near the Duomo. Unfortunately, it can only be visited on certain occasions. Its beautiful garden hosts an interesting hypogeum of the Messapian age (3rd century BC). It is a burial composed of 3 rooms plus an entrance vestibule, richly decorated.
